Christopher Nolan: "For me, movies are all about knowing the end of the story. Once I know the end of the story, once I know where it's going, then I know I'm going to climb on that train, I'm going to make that film, and we're gonna really try and do something with it. So one of the first things I knew about the project is how we were going to end the story."
