The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan will make fans wait for another possible film in the Batman franchise - after signing up to helm a sci-fi movie first.
Nolan took over shooting the comic book adaptations in 2005 with Batman Begins, and followed it up with 2008 box office smash The Dark Knight.
Fans are eager for a third Batman offering by the British filmmaker - but any plans for another outing for the Caped Crusader will have to wait at least another two years after Nolan signed up to direct futuristic offering Inception.
Inception is based on a script written by Nolan himself and is slated to start shooting in the summer, with a release date expected n 2010.
